You can stay in the charming Gamlastovo at the Vetlemyrane farm year-round. Gamlastovo is a small house built in the early 1800s but has been restored to maintain both its historic charm and modern standards. The house is fully equipped and has three bedrooms with a total of seven beds. Vetlemyrane is located near Øystese, about 1.5 hours by car or bus from Bergen.
The farm is surrounded by beautiful cultural landscapes and nature, providing a place where you can easily find peace and tranquility. In the surrounding area, there are many opportunities for outdoor activities both by the Hardangerfjord and in the mountains. Vetlemyrane is also an excellent starting point for day trips to famous attractions such as Folgefonna, Trolltunga, Vøringsfossen, the Flåm Railway, and the UNESCO World Heritage site in Nærøyfjord. Feel free to ask for hiking suggestions, and guided tours in the forest and mountains can be arranged if desired.
On the farm, there are sheep and dogs. Those who wish can help care for the animals or join when the sheep are checked on the pasture. In the spring, you can experience the lambing season.
