In Knud Knudsens Photosteps

Knud Knudsen was one of Norway's first photographers, active in the second half of the 1800s. He is considered the photographer who created "the Norwegian image." After the lecture, we will follow in Knudsen's footsteps through Odda and several scenic surroundings in Hardanger where you can photograph the same motifs found in Knudsen's photographs.

In the evening, Stig Tronvold, an incredibly talented nature photographer, will hold an introduction course in photography. Tronvold has received numerous awards in Norway and abroad. Here you will learn tips, tricks and gain a good overview of photography to take pictures in world-class.

Saturday will be a day of photography and nature experiences. With new knowledge of photography, we will take a trip to the areas around Odda that inspired Knud Knudsen. You can drive your own route through the day and explore exciting motifs such as Buerbreen, Låtefoss, and Tyssebotn with Tyssestrengene.

After a day of hiking and photography, we invite you to a cider tasting at the hotel, hosted by Hardangergutane. Local cider producer Hardangergutane has been making cider since 2015 and is a well-established cider producer in Hardanger with an exciting selection of cider types. The guys will tell us about the cultivation of fruit and berries they make cider from and how they have perfected their products.

After the cider tasting, we will serve a great dinner in the hotel restaurant.
