Memory from World War II
"Radiohola" is a cave forming a natural hiding place that the Norwegian resistance movement used during World War II.
The cave was hiding a radio that was used to receive news from England, at a time when it was forbidden to have a radio. If illegal radios were found, the owners were severely punished.
Today the cave is a memory of the activity that took place here during the war. If you are going on a trip to Jamburfjell, it may be a good idea to stop by Radiohola on the way.
Hola is located on the island of Halsnøy, 1.5–2 km into the island, at the top of a small opening surrounded by forest.
