Hardanger Fjord Lodge

Hardanger Fjord Lodge

Close to the starting point of the Bondhusdalen hike, the Hardanger Fjord Lodge is located directly by the fjord, on the quay in Sundal. Here you can stay in a traditional Norwegian wooden house from 1889. The building has recently been renovated while maintaining the history and charm of the house.

About

Surrounded by steep mountains, the Folgefonna glacier, lake Bondhusvatnet, and the fjord, Hardanger Fjord Lodge is idyllically located down at the pier in Sundal. The charming Swiss house from 1889 was newly refurbished, but the hosts, Caroline and Harald, have taken care of the history in the walls and offer a personal and authentic stay in their 9 rooms - all with beds of 100 percent natural material. Dinner must be pre-ordered no later than 3 days before arrival.

A good tip is to enjoy the meal down at the edge of the fjord, where they have a sauna with a view few others have.

Hardanger Fjord Lodge and Sundal is a good starting point for activities in the region all year round - such as guided tours with Folgefonni Glacier Team, Trolltunga, Fonna Glacier Ski Resort, Fonnabu, Breidablikk, Baroniet in Rosendal, and this just to mention a few.

Welcome to Hardanger Fjord Lodge!
