Vassel farm in Herand is surrounded by nature inviting to both relaxation and outdoor activities. It is situated in a well kept farming village close to the mountains and the Hardangerfjord, also offering excellent hiking opportunities. Herand is also situated in the middle of the Hardangerfjord region, and is an excellent starting point for excursions in the region. The Hardangerfjord Sightseeing passenger ferry service calls at Herand quay every day from 1 May until 30 September, and gives an excellent opportunity to explore the Hardangerfjord. The glacier Folgefonna with FONNA glacier ski resort and guided glacier hikes with Folgefonni Glacier Team is also not far from Vassel farm. Vassel farm has 8 cabins and 2 apartments, with a total of 39 beds. There are also 10 tent pitches at the farm.
