Here, you sleep in authentic 19th-century houses, beautifully restored to preserve their historical atmosphere, while modern comforts ensure a pleasant stay.

In the morning, enjoy a locally sourced breakfast in Storakjøkenet, where candlelight and the warmth of the fireplace create a cozy and atmospheric setting. From May to September, guests can also book a delightful three-course farm dinner in Ridderstuen, a culinary experience that brings you closer to the local flavors and traditions of Hardanger.

Two Historic Houses – One Unique Experience

The Baroniet Rosendal Home Farm offers 23 rooms and 40 beds, spread across two charming buildings:

• Avlsgården features 5 single rooms and 9 double rooms, all with authentic details and a warm, inviting atmosphere.

• Fruehuset, nestled by the river, offers 2 single rooms and 6 double rooms, romantically decorated with a charming little garden in front.

Practical Information:

• Most rooms have a washbasin, while showers and toilets are shared in the hallway.

• Check-in from 16:00.

• On days when the three-course farm dinner is available, it is usually served at 19:00 (table reservations required).

• Historic buildings without elevators or wheelchair-accessible rooms.

• Daily bus and boat connections to Bergen make traveling easy.

Guests can take a peaceful 300-meter stroll along the river between the houses, a walk that truly allows you to experience the tranquility of the landscape.
