PS: Shuttlebus Hardanger offers transport every Saturday throughout the winter and easter break. The bus departs from Kinsarvik and travels via Lofthus and Odda before it ends up in Røldal. In addition to the many activities in Røldal, Trolltunga Active also offer guided winter adventures to Trolltunga. Here you get to experience hidden gems through a wild landscape. You do not have to have any previous experience with snowshoes, but it is important to be in good physical shape.
It's hard to beat ending an active day in the snow with delicious food and something great to drink. Hardanger is absolutely the perfect place for this as there are few regions that can compete with our great food and drink manufactures. At Lofthus, which is in walking distance from Hotel Ullensvang, Hardangergutane and Lofthus Ekspedisjon offer afterski with their locally produced apple cider.
A great tip is to also visit Hardangergutane's farm shop. They offer apple juice and cider tastings with tours of the production area. The award winning drops of gold really do tickle the taste buds.
It is not just around the fjord you find great afterski. Røldalsterrassen, which is Røldal ski resort's closest neighbour. Their restaurant make the most delicious local dishes and combined with views towards spectacular mountain peaks it is definitely an important part for completing your Røldal adventure.
