About
Fjord to Glacier Bike Day 2026 is a new, non-competitive cycling day from Jondal up towards Folgefonna. The route starts by the fjord at around sea level and climbs into the high-mountain glacier landscape at approximately 1,199 metres above sea level.
The focus is on nature, community and the personal experience — not timing, rankings or competitive pressure. All participants ride at their own pace. Road bikes, gravel bikes, mountain bikes and e-bikes are all welcome.
The approximately 18.4 km route connects Jondal, Fonnavegen and the unique landscape around Folgefonna. Service stations along the route, luggage transport to the finish area, first-aid support and a shared finish with simple refreshments in the Folgefonna area are planned.
