Salmon Eye Iris Rosendal

This was most popular in Hardanger

This year, like every other year, the mighty Vøringsfossen waterfall in Eidfjord has been on many tourists' bucket lists in Hardanger. It's easy to understand why.

The same can be said about Trolltunga - Norway's most spectacular rock formation. For many, especially international tourists, this is the most famous attraction in Hardanger. The view takes the breath away from most.

But it's not just the high peaks that are popular. Experiences along the fjord are also popular among the tourists. Iris Expedition Dining is a prime example of this. The restaurant, which opened this summer, has recently gone viral on social media.

Get inspired and see our list of the most popular among tourists in Hardanger this season.

Trolltunga is among the most famous attractions and perhaps the most spectacular rock formation in Norway. What began as a "completely normal" mountain plateau above Ringedalsvatnet has developed into a destination people visit from all over the world. All year round, there are many ways to experience the icon - with or without a guide.

PS: You will get the most out of the hike on a guided adventure with either Trolltunga Active or Trolltunga Adventures.

Cider from Hardanger has exploded in popularity in recent years. More and more people have become aware of the award-winning product. You can experience the best of both worlds with a cider safari in Sørfjorden. The Fjords' fjord sightseeing can be combined with farm visits and cider tasting at various producers. This is truly a spectacular experience – whether you just want to glide through the fjords or if you also want to taste the noble drops the region has to offer.
