A Midsummer "mock wedding" with a children's parade from the old church to Ostangen, followed by a bonfire and barbecuing throughout the evening.
Welcome to a traditional Midsummer (St. John’s Eve) celebration at Ostangen! We invite families and visitors of all ages to take part in a festive evening featuring a Midsummer wedding and a children’s parade from the old church in Eidfjord to Ostangen. The wedding procession starts at Eidfjord Old Church and continues together to the celebration area.
At Ostangen, a Midsummer bonfire will be lit, and the evening will continue with barbecuing and a relaxed, social atmosphere. Homemade cakes will be available for purchase. Please bring your own food for the grill – barbecues will be provided.
This is a family-friendly event open to everyone.
